This policy explains how we handle personal data in connection with the SiteCAD+ software, its licensing, and our website at dendroconstruction.uk.
1. Who we are (data controller)
Dendro Construction Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 08202763, registered office 16 Coed Aben, Wrexham, LL13 9NT, is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: dendroconstructionltd@gmail.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Licensing data — your name, email address and a device identifier (a machine ID). We use these to issue your licence key, lock it to your device, prevent misuse and provide support. Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in preventing licence abuse.
- Purchase data — when you buy, our Merchant of Record, Dodo Payments, collects and processes your payment and billing details to take payment and handle tax / VAT. We do not receive or store your card details. Dodo provides us with limited order information (such as name, email and what you bought) so we can deliver and support your licence. Lawful basis: performance of contract, and legal obligation for tax records.
- Support data — if you email us, we process the information you send so we can help you.
- Website data — our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function; see “Cookies” below.
3. Payment processing (Dodo Payments)
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as our Merchant of Record. Your payment information is handled by Dodo under their own privacy policy; please review it for details of how they process your data.
4. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with: Dodo Payments (payments and invoicing); service providers that help us run the business, such as our email provider; and where we are required to by law.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers (including Dodo Payments) may process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are in place.
6. How long we keep it
We keep licensing and customer records for as long as your licence is active, and afterwards for as long as needed to meet our legal and tax obligations (tax records are generally kept for six years).
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email dendroconstructionltd@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
8. Cookies
Our website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent first and you will be able to decline. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is the one published on this website.
